What is MINUTE DRAIN or how does it work?

Simply put - with the turn of a MINUTE DRAIN valve, all the water in your engine system drains out in under a minute.

In more detail - your engine components all have plugs, fittings or hoses that have to be removed by hand to allow water inside to drain out. These fittings, plugs and hoses are typically hard to remove. Our specially engineered block fittings and hoses are designed to take the place of all those old fittings. This is done without having to drill, re-thread or alter the block in any way. These new MINUTE DRAIN fittings are then connected to the heart of the system, the new MINUTE DRAIN easy open / easy close manifold valve system.

In 1 minute or less, MINUTE DRAIN will empty all water from the engine block, exhaust manifolds, fuel cooler, seawater pump, circulation pump and hoses.

Yes, each engine requires a MINUTE DRAIN. So, if you have two engines, you will need two MINUTE DRAIN Kits. Three engines, three MINUTE DRAIN Kits.

Does MINUTE DRAIN have a Warranty?
Yes, all components of the MINUTE DRAIN System are warranted for five year from date of purchase.

I have a lot of silt buildup in my engine. Will this affect the MINUTE DRAIN system?
No. Actually, MINUTE DRAIN will drastically reduce silt build up. You can use MINUTE DRAIN to flush your engine out in about a minute anytime you want. Flush your engine after each use and eliminate silt buildup.

Will I have to drill or rethread my engine block or fittings to install MINUTE DRAIN?

NO. MINUTE DRAIN requires no drilling or rethreading of the engine block or its components.

Will MINUTE DRAIN affect the flow of water in my engine?

No. MINUTE DRAIN will not alter water flow in the running engine.

Will MINUTE DRAIN affect the operation of my engine's sensors?

No. MINUTE DRAIN will not affect sensor operations in the newer generation of MerCruiser / Volvo Penta engines.
